Special Events
Our ongoing special events include trunk shows, classes, shop hops, charity events,
challenges, and our biennial quilt show. We want you to become part of our quilting
community. Our online quilt shop features our favorite fabrics, patterns and quilt kits.
Our anniversary party comes up every September, and we celebrate with a sale and other
special events. Come visit our "bricks and mortar" quilt shop when you are in our part
of New York State. We are located in Wampsville, near Oneida between Syracuse & Utica on Rt.
5.

Welcome to Cottons Etc!
Cottons Etc welcomes quilters and all who enjoy fine fashion fabrics. Our purpose, as
always, is to get you fired up, inspired, and ready to race to your sewing machine.
We are a quilt shop with thousands of bolts of fabric to delight quilters. Bold colors and
contemporary fabrics like you see in our logo are our favorites. We know inspiration
comes in many packages, so we carry a large array of novelty and Asian inspired prints,
a good selection of Alexander Henry fabrics, along with 30's reproductions to round out our
quilt shop. Cottons Etc is more than a quilt shop. We always offer you fine fashion fabrics,
and quality books, notions, patterns as well as fantastic sewing machines.

"You can never have too much fabric," has become our motto and our store is chock full
of quilting cottons including Alexander Henry and Kaffe Fasset, Kona Bay, Free Spirit,
and Amy Butler to name just a few. Our specialties are contemporary fabrics and wearable art.
The bold colors and contemporary fabrics you see in our quilt shop can take your
imagination down new avenues. We have quilters considering patterns for wearable art made
with our contemporary fabrics. And you see non quilters considering the possibilities of
incorporating fashion fabrics into inspired quilt designs.
Fashion Fabrics
Cottons, Etc offers you fashion fabrics from major designers. Our fashion fabric lines
include designer cuts, challis prints, silks and wools, children and adult knits and the
basic's such as menswear shirtings, twills, denims and stretch moleskins. "Jump start" your
creativity with our fashion fabrics inviting you to design your own wearable art.
We know many of these fashion fabrics can be difficult to find. We also know that
many of you are fascinated by the unusual and dynamic Alexander Henry prints and find ways
to combine the Alexander Henry prints with other contemporary fabrics in the wearable art
garments you create. When you need buttons, beads and findings, or other embellishments
check with us first! Cottons, Etc has unusual gift items and even a line of ready-made
garments and jewelry offered to satisfy any creative whim or desire.
Patterns and Books for Inspiration
Many of us turn to books and patterns to help spark our own creativity. We carry quality books
and notions to make your quilting more fun. When you visit our shop in Wampsville, N.Y. you will
see that the Cottons, Etc staff loves working with color and prints and can help you select
fabrics for your patterns. Or we can help you select patterns for your fashion fabrics.
We carry New Look and Kwik-Sew patterns as well as patterns from independent pattern companies
such as Rag Merchant, Lorraine Torrence, and Design and Planning Concepts. These are just
three of the many garment pattern companies we carry for the quilter or garment sewer who
likes to create wearable art clothing.
